In the absence of death and mischief, it would be full of euphoria.
In times of distress, I have been known to retreat into the comforting embrace of fantasy, where the impossible becomes possible and my burden is lifted, if only for a brief moment.
Whenever reality slaps me, I come back to my senses with a taste of defeat, frustration and worry. It makes me really mad, but my simple response is a deep sigh.
Yet, I have also experienced that elusive spark of hope, a glimmer in the darkness that promises redemption. It is this hope that sustains me, even when my vision is clouded by despair. For in those dark moments, it is hope that whispers, “…we are saved, yet it is not seen. For what anyone beholds, why does he also hope for?”
In times like that, I persistently wish for a world that is just like the song lyric, “No more night, no more pain, no more tears, never crying again…”
My life would be perfect in an alternate universe ruled by the conqueror of death.
He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever. Revelation 21:4
