time has flee,
ruins are all I can see,
reminders of anguish and tears
the memory no longer steers
the past has been put to bed
in all certainly buried

my feet on the ground,
renavigating this land,
a bush once lush, now withering,
roses of the past, disappearing
but forward I march,
a new chapter archs,
no longer running,
what fate dictates embracing

when I was young, I have this tree
to be calm, I climb to see
an elevated view that pacifies me
even when they see me
my tears hanging in me
did not bother thee
O’ yesteryears, stay where you lie,
leave me to soar in the sky
past, you have served your purpose,
but now, I surrender my woes
disturb me no more,
here’s bright future
yesterday, you have been displaced
now and forevermore, released
away from you, I move with hope
in faith and courage, now I cope
