Sparkling liquids, sweet treats and story spills over coffee gives me energy.

Coffee is my top source of energy. The rich, comforting scent of a cup of coffee evokes the memory of my grandmother’s presence. When she was still alive, she carefully tended to coffee plants in her garden beyond the riprap. The coffee plants were hidden amidst the shrubs or nestled within the green frames, bordering her sweet potato plots. Her coffee plants grew with a quiet vigor, and brought much beans. Each humble harvest, she would peel the beans and dry them, waiting patiently for the perfect moment to roast them.

With patience and care, she would then roast the beans in a hot wok. The heat would release their rich, fragrant oils. Once cooled, she would grind the beans with a manual coffee grinder. While the coffee powder is still warm and aromatic, she would measure a serving using a recycled can. The can-full coffee powder would be put to a plastic bag, that would then be tightly secured. Moreover, she entrusted me to bring home to my father, who loves brewed coffee so much. Each time, I carried the precious package. It was infused with the love and dedication of my grandmother. It was a gift of warmth and comfort.
Whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God. He is the One Who made all light. He does not change. No shadow is made by His turning. James 1:17
