I am working on developing simple positive habits. Appreciating the little things is a positive habit that can enrich our lives and bring moments of happiness and gratitude.

One of the celebrations, holidays and observances today include, “National Baker Day”. It serves as a perfect opportunity to appreciate the small joys and delights that life offers. This observance reminds me of the idea that the little things in life can indeed accumulate to create something extraordinary.

In observance of the National Baker Day, I am reminded back in time to a biblical tale that tells of Heaven baking bread for the people of Earth. That’s right, the “manna bread” story as it is popularly known.

The Israelites’ journey through the desert was not an easy one. However, God provided for their needs in miraculous ways. During the day, He shielded them from the scorching sun with pillars of clouds, while at night, He illuminated their way with pillars of fire.

To sustain them physically, God rained down bread from the heavens, which was called “manna bread”; and even sent flocks of quails for them to eat. These divine interventions served as a reminder that God was with them every step of the way, providing for their needs in ways that defied human understanding.

To every baker out there, your passion and artistry in the kitchen is a gift to behold. Your skills not only provide a necessary sustenance to our lives, but also add an element of joy and comfort.

May your dedication to your craft be met with continued success and satisfaction. And for those facing scarcity in their lives, may God’s bountiful provision be with you, just as He provided for the Israelites during their time in the desert.

And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
2 Corinthians 9:8
