I would like to be able to play sports, like football, baseball or tennis. While these team sports aren’t exactly mainstream in my village, I’m really keen to develop new skills. Basically, I’m thinking of building athletic skills, I hope it’s not too late, 😂😅. With that, I can work with others, and maybe even engage in some friendly competition. These sports provide a great outlet for physical and mental health, camaraderie, and personal growth, which is why they appeal to me.

During my lower primary school years, my teachers believed that I had potential in javelin and discus throwing. However, despite their enthusiasm, I didn’t qualify for either event due to my physical stature and height not meeting the required standards for the sport 😂😅 . It was a humbling moment, but I learned that sometimes, aspirations and realities don’t always align, and it’s important to keep an open mind about new opportunities that may arise.

During my high school years, my PE teacher advocated for my involvement in tennis, volleyball and baseball. Despite my initial attempts, my passion for these sports waned and I found myself participating in board games such as chess, SciDama, and Chinese checkers. Although these activities did not lead to any awards or accolades, they allowed me to explore and cultivate different skills, such as strategy and critical thinking, which were valuable lessons in their own right.

As I continue to develop and explore my interests, I hope to learn more about various sports and incorporate them into my leisure activities. I aim to find the sports that resonate with me and provide enjoyment, both on and off the field.

Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance… Proverbs 1:5
