What are your favorite websites?
Each website makes a difference
We have reached a generation where technology has allowed the evolution of the physical and the virtual worlds. We are blending them together as an extended reality. It is both educational, creative and entertaining.
In the area of education, the concept of play has evolved overtime. Some are physical, some are online. That leads me to finding my favorite websites for educational use. That includes Kahoot!, Quizizz, Epic!, Raz-Plus and Prodigy. Sometimes joining the kids in these interactive activities is therapeutic. It heals the inner child in me. It gives me a better understanding of students’ perspectives. Indeed, play is a language. At the end of the day, it leaves big smiles on students and marks a happy memory in the classroom. It is affirming for a teacher when students say, “I like this class. It makes me happy”.
For my hobby, my other favorite website, it is right here! WordPress allows me to relive my teenage years. I used to be the editor-in-chief of our school newspaper. I have also participated in journalism activities and attended students’ press conferences. Being a campus journalist enabled me to meet both local and national journalist in my country. That made me the aspiring writer I am today. The best part is that I do not have to register to a media company. I also do not have to try out to a press company to publish amateur writings.
Moreover, I also use websites for theology and bible studies. The Bible Hub has complete references for in depth bible study and academic theological references. The Bible Gateway allows you navigate different translations and some bible study features, too. These are my usual go-to websites for the scripture translations I quote and share.
Overall, my favorite websites reflect my interests, values, and preferences. Whether we are seeking information, staying connected with friends and family, or simply unwinding with a bit of entertainment, these avenues serve as a meeting point for us all.
