A neglect to whisper

Whisper a prayer in the morning,
Whisper a prayer at noon,
Whisper a prayer in the evening…
                   a song says with devotion

But I neglect my prayers in the morning,
I neglect my prayers at noon,
I remember a prayer in the evening,
                  my spirit is fading

Though my prayers are inconsistent,
I pour my heart with all intent,
I ask forgiveness, my body faints,
I look back to the maker and rise again.
