I see his character slowly unfold,
the man of diamonds, his heart turns cold,
it intensifies the flames I carry,
and with it, his dark sides grow more scary.

His silence brings boredom and dismay,
his frequent frowns dim diamonds’ ray,
his saving face builds webs of lies,
his tightened fist—my spirit dies.

I turn a blind eye when he goes astray,
I defend his cause in the wrongest way,
I stood by his side, for he is lame,
He cannot even fight his name.

But my heart is beating rapidly,
its pace drains life so savagely,
my mind is at war with what I conceal,
the truths I hide, the wounds I seal.

I stood by him, my heart kept sinking,
I stood by him, fake smiles blinking,
I stood by him to keep things bright,
I stood by him, losing my light.
