I vowed to peel you,
to strip each mask anew,
expose your darkened heart,
let the world see through.
I’ve been asking the moon,
when it starts to wane,
crying to the stars,
in midnight’s quiet pain.
You have me confused,
nothing feels clear,
you leave me bewildered,
drenched in doubt and fear.
I will not stay confined
in this room of uncertainties,
I’ll break through these lies,
and reclaim my liberties.
If once I shared my light,
made you shine more than me,
then one day I’ll shut down,
the light that set you free.
I will leave you bare,
let the truth unchain—
that you’re small, coward,
cunning, ugly, and vain.
