Marinated chicken feet, sautéed until tender, is locally known as “adidas” in the Philippines. The name is derived from a famous shoe brand “Adidas” whose iconic logo looks like chicken talons.

Eating adidas is quite an experience. It challenges you to gnaw or strip the chicken feet off from its skin, tendons and soft bones. When it’s not enough, we break the bones. We take out the bone marrows. We suck out the remaining bits of flavor. It might sound a bit intense, but that’s just how we enjoy our food.
