One ticket for One change
I will sell cheap plane tickets to my village for the purpose of building a better life.
My village is known for goldmining. While small-scale mining has kept us afloat, contributing to the country’s gold and metal markets, its effects are two-faced. On one hand, some have become wealthy. On the other, the effects on living conditions and household environments have been devastating. It’s a Catch-22, as the thing helping villagers survive is also having negative impacts.
When the rainy season hits, the subsidence areas, weakened by mining, turn into massive landslides with boulders and rocks hurtling down the hills. And worse, flash floods attack from every direction, carrying along mining debris that can wipe out everything in their path. It’s a terrifying scene.
I want to encourage them to take a risk, but a good risk that will lead to a better future and a safer, more comfortable home.

I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope. Jeremiah 29:11
